My daughters found that a calcium/magnesium supplement from mid-cycle
through the first few days of the period helped with their PM symptoms.
They took an additional 750-1000 mg of calcium with the accompanying
magnesium of 375-500. They played around with it until they found the
amount that was right for each of them.

And when they are breastfeeding, they can continue the supplementation so
that they don't experience a drop in milk supply accompanying their menses.
