Hello! This is to Lisa Marasco, or anyone else that may know about this
issue. My name is Carrie. I am 42, have PCOS and insulin resistance and
just had my last child March 11th. (I can explin how that came about later
if you need to know.) In my other pregnancies, (brought about by fertility
drugs,) my milk came in and I got engorged and had let down. This time my
milk is coming in slowly, with no engorgement and no let down.

I saw an archived reply by Lisa Marasco from 1999 that addressed this
issue. If Lisa is still on this message list, could you please e-mail me
privately? I wanted to know if there are any new developments that might
help me. So far, my LC is having me use the SNS feeding system on demand
(which my son is wanting about every three hours) and pumping in between
for 15 minutes on each breast (I have an electric Medela dual pumper.)
Between the pumping and the tape used to secure the SNS, my breasts are
getting really sore.

I thought I would try a diet that controls my high insulin along with the
pumping and SNS. My prolactin was tested it was higher than normal, but
the nurse doesn't know if that is because I am making "some" milk, she will
consult the doctor to see what is the normal for lactating. If this diet
shows results, I would be glad to share that info with you. Please reply
to my e-mail as well as this list, I appreciate any help I can get! Oh and
my thyroid test was normal.
Sincerely,
Carrie

Lisa Marasco, can you please

I have been doing this for four days and so far, no real progress
