If Tom doesn't jump in here first himself, I have his latest info on
hand, and you're right, it's not in the current book. Tom studied
metformin in breastmilk while down in Australia. What he found, among
other things, was that throughout the time that plasma levels of the
drug peaked, the amount in mother's milk was much, much lower.
Transferance of metformin to the infant was largely insignificant. Tom
currently has it rated as an L3 but plans to raise it to L2 on his scale
of 5 in the red book. I believe that he has also submitted his research
for publishing, so hopefully we will soon have an "official" source.
