I have been critical of Bruckner's symphonies in the past, but fellow list
members have written his praises so enthusiastically that I decided about
two months ago to try him again. I'm not in a position to alter my basic
views, but it could happen. That sounds weak. Okay, I still don't like
them. I'll give Tintner a shot before moving on to the next reassessment.

As for Schumann's symphonies, I've been listening to them a great deal and
am fully saturated. It's time to put those cd's in the recesses of my
collection, knowing that they will pop up before long.
