Reports of Amitraz effectiveness against tracheal mites show very mixed results.  Currently, where they seem to have disappeared, we really do not know their exposure to potentially toxic doses during the adult female migration stage from an infested bee to a young bee or as developing mites inside the thoracic tracheae.
