Ari,
This is a great post about foundations and AFB for not
being harmful, and goes back to Wedmore's writings, and
even early Dadant writings, and A.I.Roots, on the subject
matter on how to process beeswax from deadout colonies and
save the wax for reusage. 

Only problem is in today's world the processes are not
taught much if at all anymore for waterbathing old combs
and doing, and making own clean foundations.
