I just got off the phone with Steve in the lab at Cargill Corn Sweetener
plant in Decatur, Alabama. He said that "55" is 77% solids. Which is 23%
water. He has been at this plant for 29 years and the plant is closing
December of this year. Sad since some of the areas best jobs were there.
Also some of the beekeepers used corn syrup from this plant, I being one of
these.
