Obviously elderly people in any occupation are noticed as outliers.  Unfortunately, I remember lots of beekeepers who died at an early age.  I'm 70, to I've covered some years.


I came from a dairy background, and there were some very old dairymen.   I suspect that an important factor may be that most of the very elderly that I remember were still physically active, working outside, doing chores, working bees, milking cows, etc.


Or maybe it was that most were ornery.
