Get a good quality IR camera and have the grower inspect the delivered load.
We saved fields of onions some years ago - when the seed company stated - bees don't like onions.  There's probably some truth to that, but the bigger problem was that the seed company went for bargain basement hives, saved a few bucks.  I inspected, 1/2 had no bees at all, of those that did, 1/2 couldn't meet minimum # of frames of bees and frames of brood.
The rationale of the seed company:  (1) Takes too much time to inspect.   The real issue was that  the field manager was afraid of bees, so he wouldn't open hives.
IR cameras can fix that problem - but since it's a professional business transaction, don't buy and use a cheap, low resolution and sensitivity camera.  Rent or buy a good one that is NIST certified.  It's analogous to the difference btw a cheap, spring-loaded kitchen scale and a state certified balance (meets legal requirements for trade).
