I have been on this list almost since its inception. My number one favorite thing is that it has given me access to the minds of many great people in the field. The internet has been the great leveler, and Lactnet the great leveler of lactation consultants. I have developed many friendships from people on the list; I remember how wonderful it was to attend a conference on my own and then find that I had "friends" in other Lactnetters; I was no longer alone! This is where I am alerted to breaking news in lactation and where I can read new lines of thinking. Lactnet has greatly expanded my horizons, for which I will always be grateful.

I also lurk on the FB Lactnet page but it doesn't take the place of Lactnet for me because there are a lot of people I like to hear from who are not over there. And like someone said-- I don't like getting dragged to FB all the time, I'm there too much as it is!
