Why would a young lactating mother have no appetite and thirst? This has
come up several times in my practice. The most recent mother eats enough
whole wheat bread and other good foods and drinks about 1 liter of water,
tea and milk per day. (together 1 l.) She has a good supply of milk. By
eating too little could she also be getting too little zink perpetuating
this circle? But how can a BFing mama have little thirst and appetite
anyway??

Thanks, Anne Kaeser, IBCLC
