I missed the start and couldn't get a tape rewound in time to tape it for
you.  

 

Senator Tom Harkin - IOWA.

He was speaking on brand loyalty and showed a baby and a bottle with the
7-Up logo on it.  Then he went on to, and I am parphrasing.'and it is
probably formula.  Now you all know and any doctor will tell you that the
perfect food for a baby is a mother's milk and if you can breastfeed, you
should breastfeed.  Switch the picture please.  Now look at this photo. This
is a billboard of a baby nursing a McDonald's burger bun.  This ran in
Europe.  It didn't run here.  But this is almost obscene.  A baby nursing on
a burger.  That baby is under a year and should be getting breastmilk!'
Then he switched to counting books from candy companies and on to Barbie and
her "brand loyalty."

 

Anyway if you can find a tape of it.  He was very good and he was I believe
addressing the entire senate floor.
