I had a mother awhile back that had something similar.  The subareolar
lump appeared during last trimester of pregnancy.  Her OB did mammogram
and ultrasound which both looked benign.  When baby was about six weeks
old, he sent her to a surgeon, who said "All breast lumps must come out."
(Never mind that she had not one single risk factor for breast cancer.)
She desparately wanted to continue breastfeeding, and came to me for a
second opinion.  I did a fine-needle aspirate of the lump, and the
pathology came back "oily globules and ceelular debris; probably sebum"

Best I could figure, one of the Montgomery's glands had developed a cyst.

Oh yeah, the rest of the story:  She nursed him another nine months and
eventually became a WIC peer counsellor.  Lump never recurred.
