yes, americans have a preoccupation with weight and weighing, infants, children, teens, adults....we think fat pudgy babies are the norm and then are surprised to find out our 2 yo is too fat for his/her own good :-(  I see very overweight INFANTS whose moms claim they don't eat enough.  And of course Pedisure is a preferred drink for toddlers who just "won't" eat and whose weight is in the 90th %tile!

Our vision/perception is all out of whack.  we think people with BMIs of 30 are normal and everyone below that must not eat enough :-(  It is a very weird culture, most people don't eat "real" food,  Just manufactured stuff.  pathetic.  Pat in SNJ
