I don't know if it's just me but I kind of cringe every time I see the 4 in
1000 babies in the US dies because of not being BF. I don't cringe because I
don't think that it's true... in fact I would imagine that it is in the
right ball park. But, I am just not confident in the validity of the
'research' that came to that conclusion. Remember that paper in the feminist
journal ? published recently (can't for the life of me remember the name).
Most of the article was totally ridiculous but the author pulled apart that
study and had a go at the free and easy way numbers without substance can be
bandied around. She had a point I think.
Chris do you know something about the origin of that stat that I don't?
