I see so many mothers using these colic products. Is there any sound
evidence for their effectiveness? The archives tell me little. The pamphlet
states that the active ingredient doesn’t cross the GI border. But I imagine
the flavouring and sweeteners do.
Also I was wondering why these “gripe water” preparations often don’t have a
list of ingredients. Are there special FDA exemptions for products like
these?
