Hi everybody,
I am coming out of hibernation to ask if any of you could supply me with
refs about the "safety" of bf babies with cardiac problems. I had a
discussion with a head of pediatrics at a hospital who claims
bottlefeeding (he was willing to agree to feeding with expressed milk)
is safer for ill infants. He claims that the infants become fatigued
easily when bf and "his experience" says that they will quickly go FTT
if allowed to bf. I tried to explain that the baby's O2 levels are
actually better when bf but he won't believe me without refs. Can
anyone help?
Thanks.

Susan Nachman-Srebrnik, IBCLC
