in places where there is a local Nursing Mother's Counsel group, check to see
if they rent pumps. in some locations, they have the lowest prices, and
occasionally one for no charge (except the universal kit) for the truly needy.
one of the LLLL in my area has maintained a heroic effort for the past few
years of buying and acquiring pumps which she then loans out for free if a
mother buys a membership. it really made a difference for many women.
