Okay, now, are you going to let the doctor know s/he was wrong? Or is
someone, say the mother? Otherwise, yes, this mother and baby continued
breastfeeding, but the doctor will not know that s/he made an error and will
continue telling mothers they cannot breastfeed on metronidazole. And any
number of other drugs, for example.
I didn't ask this the first time around, but actually, what infection did
this mother have that could be treated with metronidazole and nothing else?
Again, the answer by the doctor--that there was no alternative--is probably
wrong.
