I was called today by a woman with the following problem:
Pregnant, about 34 weeks. Before her pregnancy she was treated with
Clopixol 2mg x 2 for about a year because of depression (?). There might
have been a psychotic component, she described having "unreal thaughts".
Stopped the drug when she got pregnant, and feels OK. Her psychiatrist told
her she wouldn't be able to nurse her baby because she will have to start
taking the drug again.
I am not sure about her diagnosis because I got it all from her, but
Clopixol is not an anti-depressive drug, as far as I know, and on the other
hand, as an anti-psychotic the usual dosage is 20-30 mg or more a day.

This drug isn't listed in Hale '97.

Does anyone have information on this drug, or any ideas how to handle this?
