Hi Fellow Lactnetters,
I need your help! One of the people from the Immunizations Program asked me
if I had any references on contraindications for breastfeeding when the mom
is being immunized. He said there were several local health agencies that
were routinely withholding immunizations of any kind if the mother was
breastfeeding. The only contraindication I found was on smallpox and that
was for all mothers of any infant under 1 y.o. I looked in Brigg's book and
found that no information was available for many of the vaccines. I would
appreciate any help on references you could give me. Thanks in advance.

Debbie
