First the mother should have a consult with anesthesia, I believe that
is routinely done prior to administering anesthesia. They should know
what they will be giving.
Second, I fairly recently (few months) posted on this issue as we had
surgery nurses giving the 24 hr pump and dump advice. We got the
anesthesiologists to give us all the meds they were giving and we
contacted Hale's Infant Risk Center. All the meds were ok except I
think it was phenergan (?) which was a problem for baby.
If you search for my name and probably under my work email you should
find it. [log in to unmask]
