Amen! I think it is very important to distinguish between tenderness/sensitive vs. sore or painful (using pain "words" and scaling levels) vs. tissue damage (short-term or prolonged without healing). Lots of women have experienced changes in tenderness/sensitivity with hormone changes related to the menstrual cycle and many find the level of sensitivity varies from month to month -- as it may after the birth of different babies... I find most new mothers can use that "familiar" tenderness to help distinguish between what may be a "normal" or reasonable tenderness or sensitive feeling from early signs of trauma.

BTW, anyone else see Under the Tuscan Sun yet and thought of BWC's analogy of the mother with poor milk production who keeps pumping/removing what's in the breasts in spite of little return and the indoor spicket in the entry way of the villa?

Karen
