Hi Lezlie,
I am a patient at NIH for a pitutiary adenoma. My roommate, a
24 year old who just had her second resection asked our Endocrinologist
if she would ever be able to get pregnant and breastfeed. She has about
20% remaining of her pitutary, our doc says that with this amount left
her chances are very good. I suggest that you contact an endocrinologist
for more in depth info but it sure sounds promising to me. I always
counsel my Moms with a wait and let's see approach when there is always a
possibility that their concerns are unfounded. This is a good time to
establish a good report, find out what the Moms desires are and then go
from there. Hope this is helpful. Feal free to email me privately if
needed. Ann
