Try Infant Feeding, the Physiologic Basis, Institute of Medicine's "Nutrition
During Lactation" and the two articles by Daly in recent JHL's. According to
Peter Hartmann of Australia, the average rate is 11 to 58 ml per hour per
breast (1/3 ounce to 2 ounces), faster when "emptier" and slower when
"fuller.
