In the Chicago area, the best and most productive group of this type is the
"Rush mother's milk club". Rush Medical Center in Chicago has quite a few
premature and high risk births, is in the inner city (west side of Chicago)
Quite a bit of information has been published by Dr. Paula Meier (Nursing
doctorate) who runs this program and the NICU. The main focus of this program
is to provide pumps and support for women who do not traditionally breastfeed
- a segment of the population that needs breast milk the most. I know that I
have purchased materials from them to share with the hospital program that I
started in another inner city hospital. Perhaps you can find out more from
