Hi Karyn-grace,

You can read more about it in the 2000 'Current Issues in Clinical
Lactation' book by Kathleen G. Auerbach.

Kathleen Huggins, Ellen Petok and Olga Mireles wrote an article called
'Markers of Lactation Insufficiency: A study of 34 mothers'in it.
It's there on page 25.

It was a prospective study in which the relationship between breast
appearance and milk production was investigated.
There are four types of breast classifications mentioned in the article
and it shows drawings and photos.

I also remember many, many posts and threads which mention the pendulous
breast shape and low milk supply. Therefore, make sure to also search
the Lactnet archives.

HTH,

Renate Rietveld, The Netherlands.

Subject: Pendulous Breasts...low supply?

A client recently mentioned that she=92d read about a link between =
pendulous
breasts and low milk supply. I have searched high and low for some
references, but cannot find any. Lots of references to pendulous =
breasts
and breastfeeding difficulties, though; I wonder if she might have
misunderstood?

Anyone have anything on this?

Blessings!
