We have a set of triplets in the NICU. Mom is placing the babies to breast
and using a SNS to help supplement. This SNS is disposable, product insert
states it can be used for a 24hr period. Can the same SNS be used for all
three babies, or should each baby have his own SNS? Mom attaches the SNS to
her breast and nurses one baby, switches breasts and nurses next baby. Dad
feeds baby #3 with a SNS and his finger. This has caused a great debate in
the NICU. Does anyone have any advice?
This is quite an achievement for our NICU, which is not very breastfeeding
friendly.
These babies are just around 32 weeks corrected gestational age and nursing
very well! Any information or experience with this would be greatly
appreciated.

Thanks!
