The "Natural Health" magazine a couple of months ago reported on Nutrasweet:
A science project discovered that Nutrasweet in soda turned to formaldehyde
when the soda reached room temperature. A separate laboratory test has
confirmed this. Since all sode reaches room temperature (warehouse,
shipping, entering the mouth...) all diet soda contains this element. And
formaldehyde results in symptoms similar to what the Nutrasweet "paranoid"
people have been claiming for years: nausea, headaches, seizures, cancer.
I know there is an urban legend site that "debunks" the aspartame claims,
this is not an email about that urban legend. This is a new finding, is
documented, and sheds new light on these claims. I would caution anyone,
nursing or not, against using Nutrasweet, especially children/infants.

I can provide the specific month and page of the magazine if anyone needs
further verification.
