Kaiser Permanente=92s Bellflower Medical Center reports that the

milk. Th=
ree are still on oxygen.

i was more than thrilled to read about this in a parenting group i
belong to this morning ! i am completely rooting for this mom to
continue getting human milk into these babies any way she can. my
peeved rant yesterday was in no way directed at families that choose
to have multiple same-age babies - i am all about a big family ! - but
about parents who choose to do the same and then provide or plan for
*no* means to give these babies the basic standard start they deserve
in life. which is human milk at the bare minimum. and then go on to
exploit these same disadvantaged children on international television
in order to garner further items of convenience rather than things
that would truly be in the children's best interest.
i hope to be able to refer back to this often and say, 'well that lady
in calif back in '09 had 8 at once and managed to keep them on human
milk for x amt of time' ... what a boost for helping other moms to bf
this could be & how wonderful for her and those babies to start off
their relationship w/out all the risk of additional infections and
illnesses - and to be doing this for them against such odds !
