Glucose water is acceptable mixed with colostrum for 2-3 feeds at the most.
It is not appropriate nutrition, and on its own will fill up the stomach
decreasing nursing and increase bilirubin.  If donor milk is not available I use an
elemental formula to reduce exposure to whole cow's milk proteins.
