I am guessing that your interest in the remedy platina relates to 
possible use for post-partum depression, especially as the materia 
medica addresses specifically the patient's  belief that children are 
interfering and there may be a desire to hurt or kill. IMO, all serious 
acute or chronic conditions should be treated by a  homeopath as many 
remedies may be very similar and have subtle distinguishing 
characteristics. Also, the dosages, timing and frequency in using the 
remedy as well as follow-up are all significant. That said, if there 
were no competent homeopath in my area, I would self-treat with 
homeopathy before I would resort to anything else.
