It's interesting that they refer to the WHO standards and the CDC
standards...in fact the CDC data do not represent a "standard" but a
"reference" and there is quite a difference. If the difference was
understood better perhaps the uptake of the WHO standards would be
expedited.

In fact, the very definition of "overweight" is coming into question with
the introduction of new growth standards by the World Health Organization
(WHO), which differ fundamentally from the Centers for Disease Control and
Prevention (CDC) standards and classify more American infants and young
children as overweight. . . . . . .
