It is not uncommon to get yeast infections on the hands. (Unlike feet which
get a different fungus). Any condition where the hands  stay moist- like
professional dishwashers et al- are prone to get fungus. Nail loss is also
suspicious for fungus(if there is no history of trauma or psoriasis).
