This was always the biggest argument in WIC.  Many WIC professionals wanted
and did keep the realitive safety of alcohol consumption in moderation a
secret from the WIC participants.  This always made me crazy!  How can we
expect these mothers to be responsible adults if we with hold information we
don't think they can handle.  The audacity of the thinking on this makes my
skin crawl.  I, for one, would not believe a thing that person ever told me
again if I found out the correct information on this at a later date.
