I just finished writing a review of several studies and other reviews on
the
breastfeeding - breast cancer link. I included 21 studies and/or
reviews of
which 18 found a positive association between breastfeeding and
prevention of
breast cancer.

We need to be careful in the wording. This is where those less than
supportive of breastfeeding can make an issue. We don't know exactly
the factors involved in the differences in the statistics, so we should
be saying "reduced risk" instead of "prevention". (Or better stated,
"increased risk of breast cancer in women who don't breastfeed".)

There are a munber of us out here who truly wish breastfeeding did
prevent breast cancer.
