Totally.

Experience all over the world shows that you cannot get rooming in -
a basic of breastfeeding initiation - if there is a nursery.

Wherever there is a nursery, it is used - either mothers use it or
carers suggests it is used.

Maternity units need to be built without them, or existing ones closed.

There are very few (I know of none) nurserys in UK maternity units
and no one misses them! Once they are closed all babies stay with
their mothers day and night and no one even remembers when there was
an alternative.

(This does not stop inappropriate practice, though - there is still
way too much formula supplementation on UK maternity wards. So a
magic wand it is not :( )
