A totally bf 4 month old baby was hospitalized for 10 days with a severe
urinary infection.  The culture came back e coli.  The doctors claim it
probably came from the baby's stool.  I am at a loss to explain this to
the mother.  She is pretty upset because she said that protection
against these types of germs is the main reason she wanted to bf.
