Thanks for the recent input re. my question about MER and Mastitis.  Yes,
the woman was able to identify some stress elements in her life.  In the
meantime she also called her dr. who was appalled that she had taken 3
ibuprofen in 24 hours.  Said she must pump and dump for 48 hours and wean
because of the mastitis.  The mother trusted by information and did not
follow his.  She improved, but not enuf not to take antibiotics.  This time
she insisted she would not wean and her dr. called the ped. and found out
what kind of antibiotic was safe for the baby.  The ped. rec. that she
slowly wean because she would most likely get more mastitis and too much
antibiotics would not be good for the mother.
