I am wondering if anyone has developed a protocol for when to use
lansinoh/purelan, and when it is contraindicated. The current context is for
a pediatrician who prescribed lansinoh for a mom who had sore nipples due to
yeast (baby's symptoms were not dramatic). Mom's nipples did not clear up
until she switched to monistat, validating the original LC's assessment. We
would like to present the ped with an official protocol for use of lansinoh
to prevent future misuses. Has anyone developed this? Also, is there
anything official in writing that contraindicates lansinoh/purelan for
yeast?

Thanks,
Lisa Marasco
