Hi Annette,

I don't know what's been said already about this issue, but I'm going to
respond anyhow!
Here in the Netherlands it is common practice to bath babies every day. It
is even common to use some kind of 'soap' or 'medicinal' oil in the water.
We used to clean the umbilical cords with a gauze and alcohol, but most of
us don't even to that anymore.
I, personally, stick with using a kind of 'magical powder', it is called
'WeCeSin'
it's all natural and homeopathic (spelling?). When used on the umbilical
cord it comes off perfectly dry within 3 days! Conventional methods can
take up to 14 days!
isn't that nice?

kind regards,
