Should breastfed newborns who are being supplemented with formula still be expected to have 3+ stools per day (to indicate they're getting enough to eat) or might the formula make them have less BM's?  In other words, is numbers of stools still a reliable indicator of adequacy of milk intake when getting breastmilk and formula?  thank you
