Except so does every other darn preparation under the sun. I personally
just got started on albuterol inhaler because I have some wheezing going
on. The sheet from the pharmacy says <insert overly-dramatic drum roll>
"Do not use while breastfeeding!" Now, I just so happen to be the proud
owner of Hale's book. 3 editions of it, even. Not even in my defunct
99 edition does it say "Do not use while breastfeeding!" As a matter of
fact, he has that particular drugs classed as L1 and indicates that <10%
is absorbed systemically when used via inhalation. I also believe my
Synthroid sheet says not to use while breastfeeding; I'll have to look
next time they include one. (They don't every time since it is a
recurring.) Synthroid is pregnancy category A (safest), has a L1
rating, and also AAP approval.
I'm of half a mind to go feed someone a piece of mine sometime soon.
