Alison,

Welcome online.  Thanks for the input.  I will continue to watch this mom.
 She came in yesterday for a follow-up, baby up 7 ounces!  On full
supplementation (20 ounces per day).  She was better, less stressed, more
able to focus on baby.  She walked in wanting know about switch nursing.
 When I asked her where she learned about it she had been reading the Womanly
Art of Breastfeeding.

I too am questioning her apparant low IQ.  Something else is going on here I
think.
