This is all so fascinating to me, thanks to all who have shared so far!  Of
course, all of this makes me wonder why doctors, even those who are supposed
to specialize in allergy and immunology, don't seem to know these things.
My daughter's allergist even went so far as to tell me my extended
breastfeeding of her had "no lasting impact" on the development of her
immune system.  Gah.
