Hi all,

I received a response from the US House Representative from western Michigan (
Peter Hoekstra) regarding my request for him to support house bill 3531 (
Support of Breastfeeding Mothers/Maloney Bill).  His response was that there
are already too many government regulations on businesses, and that
legislation often produces effects that were not intended  (WHAT? EXTENDED
BREASTFEEDING?), and that such matters were probably handled better when not
legislated.

So...I am urging all of you who may live in his district to get a message to
him and let him know how his response may effect your voting preferences.  And
for all of you who DON'T live in his district, to send him a message anyway to
let him know that you have friends, relatives, colleagues in his district who
vote!
