Ghislain, I am also concerned about the residues in waters (I studied as a
fisheries biologist). The measured levels in the Netherlands, especially
with all the non-edible crop applications (tulips, etc) is of concern to
aquatic life. Luckily, neonics do not bioaccumulate in the food chain as
do organochlorines (such as DDT), but the measured levels are still
environmentally unjustified IMHO.

Stan, I was surprised by the figure above! However, as far as I can tell,
it is actually even higher--6.0 ppm, which equals 6000 ppb! (Federal
Register

Stan, since you're following this thread, I've been wanting to ask you to
give us an update of your experiences in neonic treated fields these past
two years.
