Izzy the Tolerance Teddy is a Beanie-Baby Knock-off (not made by Ty, the
real Beanie-Baby folks). He is a small, bean-bag type red teddy bear. He
is made by Robb Products division of Abbott Labs. He was given out as part
of a bag of presents to nurses during nurses week, May 6-12, 1999. His tag
reads: "Collector's Edition, Tolerance Teddy Bears, for ages 3 years and up.
"Izzy". "Milk-based formulas made me fussy. With Isomil, I'm 'beary'
happy." Inside the tag, on the left it tells "about Izzy." His hero is
Papa Bear, his favorite bedtime story is Goldilocks and the Three Bears, his
favorite thing to do is chase butterflies, and his major accomplishment is:
"fuzzy and furry, but not fussy." On the right side ar listed "Reasons to
recommend Isomil Soy Formula With Iron: 1. First choice of physicians for
common feeding problems such as fussiness, gas, and spit-up. 2. Excellent
calcium absorption. 3. Excellent growth documented for the entire 1st year
of life. 4. Excellent tolerance. 5. Supported by research involving over
4,800 infants." On the back of the tag is a photograph of different kinds
of formula.

Izzy is red, with a white muzzle and inside ears, and pink ribbon/bow around
his neck with red hearts and "Isomil" on it.

Also in the nurses' gift bag were note pad holders advertising Similac,
another pad advertising some drug Ross makes, various little presents, a
pen, and a lovely bookmark that says "Finding New Ways to Care" On behalf of
maternal/child nurses, Ross Pediatrics is proud to make a contribution to
the National Information, Support, and Referral Service on Shaken Baby
Syndrome." Isn't that NICE of Ross??
