It won't be your favorite suggestion.  I had a mom who had breastfed two
children prior to her baby with a bubble palate.  Her breasts were about an
"A" cup and very firm.  There was nothing to put into his mouth.  The only
thing that worked after six weeks of trying and crying was a nipple shield.
She tried several times to wean herself from the shield, as the baby would
nurse without it, but she just couldn't stand the pain.  She moved away and
at last account she was looking for someone in her area who sells nipple
shields.  Her baby was a year old at that time.  She was also a Registered
Labor and Delivery Nurse.
