A mom told me today that her sister is breastfeeding her second child.  The
3-year-old daughter got her doll yesterday and raised her shirt to feed it
at her breast.  Her parents scolded her strongly for the shame of lifting
her shirt.  The grandparents agreed to the scolding.

And I wonder why American women have so much trouble breastfeeding.

I told this mom, who disagreed with the scolding, about Lia's feeding her
stuffed, baby kangaroo (Roo) and about a friend's 3-year-old boy feeding
his favorite truck at his breast. Mom fed the truck a few times at her
breast too.
